Ubisoft reveals Assassin's Creed Valhalla post-launch roadmap
Ubisoft has revealed the Assassin's Creed Valhalla post-launch roadmap. Two new expansion packs will be released with more content which will feature new narratives, new game modes, and in-game events.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a singleplayer, action RPG which is scheduled to release next month on November 10, 2020, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. The PlayStation 5 version will be launched on November 12 in NA and AU regions and on November 19 in the European Union.
Post-launch roadmap details new season pass and expansion packs
Two major expansions are coming to the game as a part of the Season pass. The first round of post-launch content will begin this year itself in December with the launch of Season 1 pass.
Season 1 pass
The Season 1 pass will feature lots of in-game events like the traditional Viking Yule Festival, new settlement buildings and, a new game mode- River Raids which delivers a new raid experience.
In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players can create Jomsviking- a lieutenant which will be a part of the raiding crew. The Season 1 Pass brings an update to the Jomsviking which will allow it to earn XP and rank up.
Season 2 pass
Season 2 pass releases in March 2021. The new content includes a new combat-oriented game mode, a Jomsviking update, and Settlement festivals. Additionally, new gear and cosmetic items will also be introduced with the Season 2 pass.
Ubisoft has planned more content release in 2021. Along with the Season 2 pass, we will also get two new expansion packs each with narrative depth. They are called-
Wrath of the Druids
The Siege of Paris
These two expansion packs are included in the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass. The Pass also includes an exclusive quest called The Legend of Beowulf and it will be available on the launch day of the Pass.
