Nvidia RTX 3080 reportedly spotted in leaked images
Over the past couple of days, console gamers have had a lot to look forward to. Earlier this year, we had the Xbox Series X reveal and just two days back, we got a first official look at the PS5.
Now, it seems like there's something for the PC gamers out there too. In what seem to be leaked packaging images, we might just have a look at Nvidia's next generation RTX 3080 graphics card.
A massive heat sink and fans on either sides
RTX graphics cards are known for being thick and chunky. The leaks suggest that the RTX 3080 will be one of the biggest graphics cards ever, so those of you who have a small form factor build may want to see where to fit the giant new graphics card.
In the images, we get a look at only one side of the graphics card. This one side consists of a fan along with a pretty big heat sink. According to some leaks, the RTX 3080 will have fans on either side, to keep it cool.
As of now, we have very little detail on the technical specifications for the RTX 3080, but we can assume that it will push the boundaries of Ray tracing to an all new level. The RTX 2080 itself is a pretty well performing graphics card.
NVIDIA will be introducing a new dual-fan mechanism with a huge cooling block and at least four heat pipes with the upcoming Ampere GPUs. The top-end GA102 GPU will use the PG133 board for the Founders Edition of the RTX 3090, RTX 3080 Ti, and RTX 3080, which will use the new cooling system while AiBs are supplied with the PG132 board that allows for custom cooling designs.
At any rate, the RTX 3080 is certainly a step into the future and we can't wait to play around with it.
