Specifications and details

When it comes to what's under the hood, both of these phones feature cutting edge technology in their Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipsets. Where things differ a bit would be in the RAM. While the Asus ROG Phone 3 maxes out at 12GB of RAM, the Legion Phone will cap out at 16GB RAM.

The displays on these two phones is quite gaming focused as well. The ROG Phone 3 features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support.

In a gaming phone, a long battery life is a must for those never ending gaming sessions. The Asus ROG Phone 3 achieves this by having a massive 6,000mAH battery. While the Lenovo Legion Duel falls short at 5,000mAH, it does have a reasonably good battery.

The Asus ROG Phone 3 price in India has been set at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option of the phone carries a price tag of Rs. 57,999.

Cooling comparison

In a gaming phone, the most important thing is power and performance delivery when the user needs it. With that in mind, both the phones have an array of software features which help you know more about the hardware and tweak it just to your liking.

In the Asus ROG Phone, you not only have software controls, but also a vent and internal cooling systems to help keep the phone performing well even after long hours of use.

The Lenovo Legion Duel on the other hand adopts a different technique. The phone uses liquid cooling, which in many cases is quite effective. As for the performance, we will have to wait to test it out for ourselves.
