Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2020 ends with winners BL4ZE Esports, Marcos Gaming and Union Gaming

India's longest-running esports championship the Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup concluded it's 7th edition which was an exciting, action-packed virtual affair. The tournament featured a prize pool of Rs. 10,00,000 and teams from all over the country participated for glory in three esports titles- CS:GO, Clash of Clans, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.

The online qualifier rounds commenced on October 29 and ended on November 29 and more than 8,000 gamers from 1,610 teams of 5 members each registered for the elimination rounds. BL4ZE Esports, Marcos Gaming, and Union Gaming tore through their opponents to win in CS:GO, Clash of Clans, and Rainbow Six Siege respectively, and took home the largest share from the prize pool.

Three Crowned Champions of TEGC 2020

BL4ZE Esports triumphed over 2EZ Gaming to win TEGC in CS:GO. They won Rs. 2,00,000 while 2EZ won Rs. 1,00,000 as runner ups.

Marzil from Bl4ZE Esports said that the new virtual format has created excitement among gamers. “While I did miss the LAN crowd and environment this time as there were so many fun activities that we got to participate in during the on-ground event across multiple booths. We were also given an opportunity to try out new products. We must say the online event was so well handled with all the line-ups happening on time. Also, it was a much more comfortable experience overall.”

Marcos Gaming reigned supreme over Team Pushers to win their first-ever title in Clash of Clans taking home Rs. 1,50,000. Team Pushers put up a strong performance as well but ended up being the runner-ups with Rs. 75,000 to their name.

Union Gaming won the first prize in Rainbow Six Siege after beating FullStop. Both of these teams took home Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 75,000 respectively.

A unique, virtual tournament

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, TEGC 2020 was to be an online affair. Organizing and managing such a large tournament virtually is a mammoth task in itself.

We are known for the best line-up of gaming products, and we give our participants the best of gaming experiences. This year has been different due to the pandemic, but TEGC has still managed to create its footprint in the esports arena with a smashing performance.”
