Raji: An Ancient Epic is an action-adventure video game developed by a Nodding Heads Games in India. The game was initially released for Nintendo Switch on 18 August 2020.

The singleplayer game was released yesterday 15 October 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and, Microsoft Windows via the Steam and Epic Games storefronts. Raji: An Ancient Epic is the project of Nodding Heads team that's based out of Pune, India.

An Indian epic inspired by Bastion and Journey

The developers have stated that popular action RPG Bastion and the Indie epic Journey served as major influencers behind Raji. The game takes us through ancient India full of uniqueness, culture, and lore.

Two siblings, Raji and Golu find themselves in the middle of a crisis after being attacked by demonic hordes. Fate turns it's back against them as the war rages on and the two dearly siblings are separated from each other.

A young, brave Raji shoulders the responsibility of finding her brother and putting an end to this reckless war. It's not a cakewalk as she faces terrifying demons at every corner of her quest. Tearing through their ranks, slowly breaking their might, she ultimately has to face off against Mahabalasura- The great lord of a demon and defeat him to rescue her brother Golu.

Ancient Indian architecture

The game has an immense visual appeal as it brings ancient Indian architecture combined with Pahari art style and hand-painted textures and 3D rendering which wonderfully compliment the game's environment.

Variety of weapons

The traditional Trishul and Sharanga bow are among the powerful weapons available to use to eliminate the demonic threat. Mastering these will prove critical to your success.
