Velocity Gaming wins Nodwin Gaming Valorant Agni Series 2020

Their first win from a bootcamp atmosphere

Velocity Gaming bagged the Nodwin Gaming Valorant Agni Series after clean sweeping Reckoning esports and Global Esports during the Grand Finale and took home Rs 1.5 Lakh prize money.

The Grand Finale of the Agni Series that took place yesteray saw four of the best teams in India faceoff against each other in a series of best of 3 matches where Velocity Gaming came out on top.

Manoj Kasyap CEO of Velocity Gaming said, "We are back!! Our first win from the bootcamp the atmosphere was electric all through the night. Great performance from everyone, even though we were on a break for a month now form and class still remain . Top performance from global esports and especially deathmaker, but still we retain the tittle of number one team."

Karan "Excali" Mhaswadkar from Velocity Gaming was crowned as the MVP of the Grand Finale- with 33 kills and an Average Combat Score of 240.

Reckoning Esports performed well too, but it wasn't enough to beat the most dominating roster in South Asia. However, the team packs a lot of potential and fans are expecting more from Reckoning in the future.

Valorant Agni Series Grand Finale Summary

  • NODWIN Gaming Agni matches started with the best of 3 semi-finals between Reckoning Esports and God Particles. The first match was played on Haven, where Reckoning beat God Particles 13-9 and the second match was played on Ascent where Reckoning once again beat God Particles 13-7. Reckoning Esports effortlessly win 2-0 i.e both the maps and advance to the finals.

  • The second semi-final was between Velocity Gaming and Global Esports- the 'Valorant India El Clasico'. The first match was played on Haven where Global Esports beat Velocity Gaming 14-12. The second match was played on Ascent where Velocity Gaming beat Global Esports 13-6. The third match was played on Bind where Velocity Gaming again beat Global Esports 13-7. Global Esports did put up a tough fight against Velocity Gaming however Velocity still managed to secure a win for themselves and advance to the finals after winning 2-1.

  • The Agni matches concluded with the best of 3 finals between Velocity Gaming and Reckoning Esports. The first match was played on Ascent where Velocity Gaming beat Reckoning Esports 13-9. The second match was played on Split where Velocity Gaming beat Reckoning Esports 13-5 winning the Valorant Agni Series.
