Velocity Gaming won the India Today League Valorant Cup

Velocity Gaming will be the first Valorant team to represent India in an international Valorant Tournament

Earlier this month India Today Gaming announced a Valorant tournament- India Today League Valorant Cup. The tournament had a prize pool of 2 Lakh and the winner gets a ticket to participate in the PvP Singapore Regional Qualifiers.

On Sunday India's best Valorant team, won the Grand Finals of the India Today League Valorant Cup in a one-sided win against Team Villainous in a best of 5 ties. Velocity Gaming received 1 Lakh in prize money and are going to face south asia's best valorant team in the PvP Singapore Regional Qualifiers making them the first team to represent India in an international Valorant tournament.

In a conversation with Vishwalok Nath, head of Esports at India Today, he said, "We would like to Congratulate Velocity Gaming for winning the India Today League Valorant Cup Powered by WD Black! They didn't lose a single game during the tournament to win the title. They will be taking home INR 1,00,000 as a prize and will represent India in the PVP eSports Regional Finals. In this tournament, they will compete with different teams from Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Myanmar for prize money of $15,000."

In an interview with Manoj 'Sentinel' Kasyap, CEO of Velocity Gaming he said, "It's a proud moment for me , I have always dreamed of playing for india as a player which obviously did not happen and that's when i decided to have a team of my own and represent my country. Its finally a dream come true for me thanks to my team for that."

In an interview with Anuj 'Amaterasu' Sharma the In-Game Leader he said, "I'm incredibly proud of my team. We've been practicing very hard and it's gratifying to see that being paid off with a 3-0 victory straight to regional finals. Our single-minded goal as VLT is to put India on the global Valorant map and it's a great feeling to be India's first representative at an international Valorant regional. Time to double down, work harder than ever before, and hopefully, we'll be able to make India proud at the PvP regionals!"

Velocity Gaming will truly make the country proud as it is packing enough firepower not just to be the best team in India, but the best team in the world.
