Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond system requirements revealed
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is the latest upcoming game in the Medal of Honor series. Now, the developers, Oculus and Respawn Entertainment have revealed PC system requirements for their upcoming game. Needless to say, the game has some beefy requirements, with the minimum recommended GPU being an Nvidia RTX2080.
Earlier, we have seen games which demand GPU attention, but an RTX2080 as a minimum requirement is a first. However, since the developers behind the game are enhancing the game for VR platforms, it isn't surprising to see such powerful system requirements.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond system requirements on PC
The minimum system requirements for running Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond are as follows.
Intel i7 9700K (or comparable AMD CPU)
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Nvidia GTX 2080 or higher
340+ GB of space to unpack/install; 170 GB once installed; SSD or NVMe recommended
Seeing as how this is the first Medal of Honor game to be a fully VR experience, it is a given that the PC requirements are so abnormally high. In fact, the developers haven't given a recommended system requirement yet.
This information comes from a reviewers' guide for the game which was sent to Polygon. Additionally, we also know the size of the game, which is over 170 GB. This isn't even the whole size of the game as that is bigger than 340 GB. The 340 GB is required to download, unpack, unzip and install the game to your system, which is only a one time thing.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is set to launch on Dec. 11 for Oculus VR and on Steam. The game will be compatible with other VR headsets as well. The final game will include a full single-player campaign, multiplayer modes, and a gallery of historical documentaries.
