Here are all the top games on Steam in 2020
As the end of a year draws near, Steam has released a list of games which topped the charts in 2020. These include some obvious picks, and some not so mainstream games. While the list doesn't rank games in any particular order, it does give us an idea of which games grossed the most and were the highest selling games.
Some no-brainers on the list include Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Destiny 2 and CS:GO are games which appear in several categories. Steam's Best of 2020 list includes Top Sellers, New Releases, Most Played, Best VR Games and more.
Old favourites make a comeback; new games are a hit with masses

The top selling category has games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us, Fall Guys, Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, DOTA2, CS:GO, Red Dead Redemption 2, PUBG and Rainbow Six Siege, among a few others. From this list, DOTA2 and CS:GO are two free to play games, which earn from microtransactions.
As for the most sold releases of the year, Steam has listed games without disclosing the sales figures. Here are the best selling new games ranked alphabetically.

The most played category also has the usual favourites paired with some new games. Games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us, CS:GO, Destiny 2, Monster Hunter: World, DOTA2, Life is Strange 2, PUBG, Terraria and a few more make their way onto the list of most played games owing to their popularity in the gaming community.
