Free Cyberpunk 2077 DLC to be released in early 2021

CD Projekt Red's latest action adventure game is none other than Cyberpunk 2077 and less than a month after the game's release, the developers have announced that free DLC for the game will come out soon this year.

Cyberpunk 2077 came out to the world on December 10 and since then, it has had something of a mixed response from the gaming community. The game is riddled with bugs on all platforms and in fact, only barely manages to run on the base consoles. Despite backlash, the developers are working towards polishing the game and getting it ready for the upcoming free DLC.

Free DLC will be a complete expansion story

Following the rocky launch of the game, President of CD Projekt Red Adam Kiciński said that it was too early to comment on DLCs and the multiplayer mode of the game. Following that, there was a bit of a silence regarding the DLC component of the game.

Now, a new page has appeared on the official game website which suggests that free DLC is coming to the game in "early 2021". Furthermore, the website requests gamers to "stick around" for the reveal of the DLC, which could happen pretty soon.

In the past, CDPR has done quite a good job with game DLCs. Going by past experience, the DLC of the Witcher 3 is often regarded as one of the best in the gaming world. In that regard, fans are expecting CDPR to deliver. However, owing to the unstable launch of the game, nothing can be said about the quality and type of DLCs which will come out.

As of now, all we know is that DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 will be free and it is coming in early 2021.
