New monsters, charms, and decorations in Monster Hunter World: Iceborn update 5

Monster Hunter World: Iceborn is an action role-playing game available in singleplayer and multiplayer modes. It is the expansion pack to the popular 2018 action RPG- Monster Hunter: World.

Monter Hunter World: Iceborn was released in September 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One and in January 2020 for Windows. Since then, the game has received several free updates. The latest update features new monsters, decoration materials, and more.

The update introduces two new monsters- Fatalis and Velkhana

TThe previous update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborn, Update 4 featured Altreon, a monster known as the 'Symbol of Destruction' who can change it's elements at will. New weapons and armor could also be crafted from Altreon materials.

The latest update, Update 5, again introduces two new monsters. Fatalis- A legendary black dragon rumored to have destroyed a kingdom in a single night and now houses in the ruins of Castle Schrade. Fatalis first appeared in the first Monster Hunter game but it was only available in the Online Mode. In Monster Hunter: World, developers at Capcom said they wanted to "bring it back in a way that lets players challenge it more regularly."

Players will be able to craft new weapons and 2 armor sets from Fatalis material. The second monster the update features is "arch-tempered" Velkhana. It will be available in a limited time quest. You can craft a weapon and an armor set from Velkhana materials too.

New charms, New decorations and bug fixes

New charms like Shavers Charm, Earplugs Charm V, Master's Charm V, Handicraft Charm V, Critical Charm III, Exploiter Charm III have also been added in the update.

New decorations include Diversion Jewel 3, Acrobat Jewel 3 and Shaver Jewel 3. A seasonal Halloween themed event is also coming to the game in October

Update 5 is coming on October 1, 2020. Another Monster Hunter game- Monster Hunter: Rise releases in March 2021 on Nintendo Switch.
