The 21st match of IPL 2020 features Chennai Super Kings taking on misfiring Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata and Chennai currently stand on 4th and 5th positions respectively in the points table. Let's see the Fantasy picks, predictions and probably XI for this cracker of a game.
Fantasy league picks and predictions
There are some players who have been better than the rest in this season of IPL 2020. They have taken the responsibility of pulling the team forward and have proven themselves from time to time.
Kolkata's previous match would have a different result had they send Rahul Tripathi who is an opener, alongside Shubman Gill. He was sent in at Number 8 position when the asking rate was over 20 and still managed to score 36 off 16 balls. Rahul Tripathi will be a great choice for the economical pick.
Captain and Vice-Captain
Faf du Plessis is in a great form and has delivered in every match of CSK this season. He has amassed 282 runs, including three half-centuries, at the strike rate of 150.00 and will be the obvious choice for captain for this game. Andre Russell hasn’t yet fired in the ongoing IPL having scored only 48 runs at an average of 16. But he has an excellent record against Chennai Super Kings. In seven innings, he has 224 runs at an average and strike-rate of 56 and 164.71 respectively. He also has three fifties with a top score of 88* at the Chepauk in 2018. With the ball in hand, he has five wickets at an economy rate of 8.20.
MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten 47 against the SRH, though it came in a losing cause. He also boasts an excellent record against KKR. In 20 innings, he has 471 runs at an average and strike-rate of 52.33 and 134.57 respectively and everyone knows how explosive he can get at death. KKR have to send him back to the pavilion early, otherwise, they could end up chasing leather.
Even though Kedar Jadhav has not been impressive this season, CSK has continuously given him a spot in the team. He is a good choice for a middle order batsman and he can bowl well too.
Deepak Chahar, Pat Cummins, and Varun Chakravarthy are great options. They are economical, aggressive, and wicket taking bowlers.
