Call of Duty Mobile's season 9 is one of the most hotly anticipated updates of mobile gaming. Fans have been waiting for Season 9 of the game for quite a few weeks now and finally, we have a launch date and some information regarding what will be new in the update.

Season 9 of Call of Duty Mobile will hit smartphones on August 16, 2020 and it will bring a slew of new additions to the game. So, if you want to know what's new with Call of Duty Mobile Season 9, then read ahead.

A new map, an added game mode and gunsmith are coming to Call of Duty Mobile

One of the most anticipated features of the new update is the upcoming map. The map is called Shipment 1944. It is a small-sized map set in an abandoned dockyard.

The compact design means the action begins quickly and you will have to rely on a lot of light weapons and smartly use the scorestreaks. The map will surely change up the meta of the game and give players something new and exciting to look forward to.

Another major feature of the new update will be Gunsmith. This is a new feature that lets you personalise weapons even further. You can mix and match attachments and scorestreaks however you want.

You can also unlock up to 10 loadout slots instead of the regular five Multiplayer loadouts. The feature is very similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Gunsmith.

Call of Duty Mobile users are also in for a new game mode – 10v10. As the name implies, it will feature 10 players clubbed together in a team. This will result in more intense matches which will even last longer than the average 5v5 games.

On the Battle Royale side of things, there are new locations on the map, which will add something new to the BR format.
