Garena unveils 2021's first crossover event: 'The Hero Trial' for Free Fire
Garena has announced the launch date of "The Hero Trial" crossover event in Free Fire which features content from popular Japanese anime One-Punch Man. The Hero Trial event will go live on January 10. A new crossover event for Free Fire was announced last month but back then, the launch date of the event was not known.
The Hero Trial crossover event is the first in game event of 2021 for Free Fire. The Hero Trial event goes live on January 10 and introduces plenty of in-game content, new reskins, costumes, and even a special event interface from the One-Punch Man universe.
New costumes from The Hero Trial
The Hero Trial event brings a variety of new content to Free Fire. Players will be able to don new items from the One-Punch Man universe including One-Punch Man and Genos costumes. Additionally, backpack, Gloo Wall skins, an “I’m Saitama” emote, and reskins of popular in-game elements such as the airdrops and airships.
Players will also get access to two new weapon skins – the Megapunch M1887 and M4A1 and a free Saitama Loot Box Skin for players who login on January 23.
Special training session
From January 15, special training sessions will be held in Free Fire. Players will need to collect One-Punch Man tickets from in-game drops and complete daily missions and only then will they be allowed to participate in these special training sessions.
Players will be tasked with defeating ferocious monsters who, when killed, will drop boxes in three tiers of rarity. The higher the tier of rarity, the higher the rarity of the item.
Path to Hero web event
Players can earn more rewards from the Path to Hero web event which will take place from January 16 - January 26. Players will be sent down the hero path which will be filled with monsters and treasure boxes. Treasure boxes contain tokens which can be exchanged for rewards in the redemption store. Players will need to earn exploration tokens by completing daily missions.
