Garena announces Free Fire Bangladesh Championship exclusively for players in Bangladesh
Video game developer Garena has announced the Free Fire Bangladesh Championship which is an open tournament exclusively for the players from Bangladesh. The tournament features a prize pool of BDT 2.5 million.
Registrations for Free Fire Bangladesh Championship start on January 18 and the tournament will begin on January 22 with the Open Qualifiers stage and the Grand Finals will be played on March 19. All matches from the League Stage onwards will be broadcasted live on the Free Fire Bangladesh YouTube channel.
Free Fire Bangladesh Championship format
Open Qualifiers
Players should have a minimum rank of Diamond 1 and should be level 40+ to be able to participate in this tournament. The tournament will commence on January 22 with the open qualifiers. The top 48 teams from the Open Qualifiers will then move on to the Closed Qualifiers stage.
Closed Qualifiers
Closed qualifiers will be played on January 29 and 30 where the 48 teams will play in BO6 format. From here, the top 18 teams will advance to the League Stage.

League Stage
League Stage matches will be played from February 16 - March 4 where these 18 teams will be divided into three groups of six teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance into the Grand Finals Stage. Remaining teams will move onto the Play-ins.
Play-ins and Grand Finals
Play-ins will take place on March 12 in a BO6 format between the 12 teams that have qualified. The top 6 teams from here will move onto the Grand Finals which will be played on March 19.
This is the latest tournament that was announced for Free Fire. In India, the Free Fire Gaming Masters tournament and Free Fire Titan Invitational will also commence in January.
