Jio and MediaTek collaborate to host Free Fire Gaming Masters tournament in India

Telecom giant Reliance Jio has teamed up with chipset manufacturer MediaTek to host the Gaming Masters tournament for popular mobile gaming title Free Fire. The tournament features a massive prize pool of Rs. 12,50,000 and players from all over the country, Jio and non-Jio users alike, can participate for free.

The registrations for Gaming Masters have already begun and last date for registration is January 9. The tournament commences on January 13 and will run for 70 days till March 2 and will be broadcasted live on JioTV HD Esports Channel and YouTube.

Participate in a team or go solo in Gaming Masters

Gaming Masters tournament will be conducted in three stages- DUOS, SOLOS, and the Grand Finals Stage. DUOS stage will have 2 member teams playing in qualifier and qualifier finale rounds for 32 days. SOLOS stage will have individuals competing for 12 days in the qualifier and qualifier stages. Top 20 teams from DUOS playoffs and top 4 individuals from SOLOS will advance to the Grand Finale Stage. Both Jio Games and MediaTek are coming together to elevate the esports scene in India even further by organizing this tournament and giving passionate gamers a grand stage to showcase their skill.

Free Fire is a popular mobile esports game not just in India but all over the world. The game also witnessed a 162% growth in viewership in 2020 and the Free Fire Continental Series which concluded last month also registered record number of viewers. Free Fire was also crowned as the Esports Mobile Game of the Year at the Esports Awards 2020.
