India's longest running esports championship goes virtual in 2020

The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup (TEGC) will be held online this year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. TEGC usually gave gamers and fans opportunities to meet and interact with each other but because of the global disruption caused by the pandemic, this year the TEGC championship will be conducted online. TEGC championship will feature a massive prize pool of Rs. 10,00,000 for three popular esports titles- CS:GO, Clash of Clans, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Four online qualifying rounds will be held starting from October 29 2020 to November 29 2020 for each of these games and the winning team from each qualifier will compete in the online finale round on 12 and 13 December 2020. Note that only the grand finale of CS:GO and COC will be broadcasted online on the official Taiwan Excellence India channels.
