Indian teams will not be allowed to play in PMPL SA

Not wanting to let their hard work go in vain, TSM Entity’s Ghatak put out a tweet just after the ban, requesting the officials at Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to allow them to participate in the tournament from a different region.

According to a report by AFK Gaming, it has been confirmed that "All Indian teams have been disallowed from participating in the PUBG Mobile Pro League Fall Split 2020 South Asia."

James Yang, Tencent's Director of PUBG Mobile global esports, broke the news to Indian PUBG Mobile team owners. There was a chance that Indian teams will be competing in the tournament from another country but that has also been denied. The report states that "Indian teams cannot play PMPL SA regardless of which country they may be physically present in."

The teams have been forced to drop out of the tournament . This includes the top 5 teams from the PMCO 2020 Fall: India- TeamXSpark, FutureStation Esports, Stalwart Esports, Fintox Esports and TEAM iNSANE who were invited for the tournament. Additionally, teams like Orange Rock, TSM Entity, Nova GodLike, Galaxy Racer, Fnatic, Team SouL, UMumba eSports and TeamIND had directly qualified from the PMPL-SA Spring Regular Season.
