Free Fire Continental Series dates, schedule and format announced

Last month, Free Fire India Championship 2020 Fall was concluded where Total Gaming was crowned as champions and they directly qualified for the Finals stage of Free Fire Continental Series 2020: Asia (FFCS 2020: Asia). Garena recently announced the date, schedule and format for the Free Fire Continental Series 2020: Asia where teams from seven regions across Asia will compete for a prize pool for $300,000.

Free Fire is a battle-royale game developed by 111 Dots Studio and published by Garena for Android and iOS. The game is wildly popular and since the PUBG Mobile ban in India, its popularity has only grown. Frequent tournaments are being organized with large prize pools featuring hundreds of teams.

Schedule and Format for the tournament

FFCS 2020: Asia will start on November 22 and will be played online. It will be played in two stages- The play-ins stage and the Finals stage. Winners of the Free Fire Continental Series regional tournaments are directly qualified for the Finals Stage whereas the second and third place winners from the regionals are qualified for the play-ins. Top 5 teams from the play-ins qualify for the Finals which will be held on November 29.

Total Gaming won the Free Fire India Championship 2020 Fall and so they are directly qualified for the Grand Finals in the Free Fire Continental Series 2020: Asia. Team CRX Elite and XTZ Esports (XTZ Esports signed the Stalwart Esports roster) have qualified for the Free Fire Continental Series 2020: Asia play-ins.

Teams will be pitted against each other across 3 maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari. 6 rounds will be played and points will be awarded based on round ranking and the number of kills.
