Free Fire Continental Series comes to a close with record viewership
The Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS), which is the biggest Free Fire tournament of the world came to a spectacular end. Teams from three regions- Asia, America, and, EMEA competed against each other for glory and for the biggest share from the total prize pool of $900,000.
This year, Free Fire Continental Series tournament broke all the previous viewership records. According to the Esports Charts, the Asia Series saw a peak of over 2.5 million viewers, the Americas Series had over 1.7 million peak viewers, and the EMEA Series registered a peak viewer count of over 300,000. The Hindi stream of the Asia Series got over 47 million views on YouTube.
Each Grand Final saw 12 teams battling it out over 6 rounds across 3 maps- Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari. Points were awarded based on round placement and the number of kills
At the end, three teams from three regions were crowned as winners. From the EMEA Region- Sbornaya ChR (CIS), from Asian Region- EXP Esports (Thailand), and from Americas- Team Liquid (Brazil) won with the maximum number of points. Each winner took home the biggest share of $80,000 from the total prize pool.
Total Gaming Esports represented India in the Asian Region. They did not win but they did put up a stellar performance and placed 8th overall in the Asian Region with 70 points and 17 kills.
