DOTA2 The International: Prizepool for the 10th edition of The International crosses $39 million

DOTA2, League of Legends, and CS:GO are considered to be the big three in international esports. They have a fan following of millions and host year round tournaments for teams from all over the world.

Among these games, DOTA2 has always stood out when it comes to prize pools. The International- DOTA2's biggest tournament of the year always boasts massive prize pools. Recently, it reached unprecedented heights of $39 million.

Can the DOTA2 community get it to $40 million?

The developer of DOTA2, Valve, has confirmed that The International will not be taking place this year owing to the COVID19 pandemic and TI10 will now take place in 2021.

According to the prizepool tracker, the prize pool for DOTA2 TI10 has crossed $39 million mark and continues to rise. Out of the $39 million, Valve only gave $1.6 million. The prize pool is afforded because of the DOTA2 TI Battle Pass and in-game purchases made by the passionate DOTA2 community.

Valve also stated that they would extend the Battle Pass till the first week of October. It will be interesting to see if the community will push harder to get the prize pool at $40 million.
