Spider-Man Remastered getting an update for cross generation saves on PS4 and PS5
Over the past few weeks, we've been hearing a lot about not just one Spider-Man game, but two- Spider-Man Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered. Spider-Man Remastered is a remake of the original 2018 Marvel's Spider-Man which came as an exclusive for the Playstation 4.
Spider-Man Remastered is an upscaled and enhanced version of the already stunning 2018 game built for the Playstation 5. Now, Insomniac Games has revealed details about how cross platform saves and game files will work on the game between the PS4 and the PS5.
Easily access your PS4 game saves on the PS5 with the new update
Insomniac Games has heeded the advice of their fans and are now giving users the option to export their existing save file from the PS4 version of the game onto their next-gen consoles. Initially, this was a missing feature, but after looking at the feedback, the developers were quick to implement it.
This is an especially beneficial feature for those who would like to carry thier adventures over to the new console. Additionally, it also means that you will be able to start a New Game+ just after you install the game on your PS5.
The good news for Spider-Man fans doesn't end here because the update will also add a few new suits for Spidey. You can read more about those below.
While Spider-Man 2018 seems like an unnecessary remaster of an already good game, it also does offer quite a few additions. For starters, the Remastered edition will make better use of the PS5's on board SSD, which will cut down on load times.
Apart from that, the game will also make use of enhanced graphical capabilities on the PS5. Finally, the remastered edition of the game will also enable the use of advanced haptics and adaptive triggers on the Dualsense Controller.
