Sony is hiring (and paying) people to play test their games on the upcoming console Playstation 5
If you're one of those people who just wants to sit and play video games, while being paid for it, then Sony has announced something great for you. The PlayStation 5 is just around the corner, and to test it, Sony needs players.
Sounds like a job for someone who just can't get enough of video games. PlayStation is looking for some test gamers to review their upcoming games before the release of their PS5. So, here's what you need to know.
Gamers, this could be your time to shine
The vacancy, posted under the job title ‘Localisation Testers’ for PlayStation has been listed on Indeed. One of the listed requirements includes being a ‘Passionate game player.’ Taking up this job will also give you an opportunity to work in the UK, if you have a work permit.
However, the job comes with a little twist. In order to apply for the job, you need to know English, in addition to either Brazilian, Portuguese, Russian or Arabic.
If you are someone who loves any of these three languages and are passionate about video games, you might just be the perfect candidate for the company.
While it sounds fairly easy, the work of a play tester is actually dull and repetitive. You will have to analyze game details all around the game and figure out bugs and other issues. This involves playing the same levels of a game again and again until all issues are ironed out.
All the successful candidates will be required to take a translation test in their chosen language. Once finalised, the work hours will include 37.5 hours per week in a 9 to 5.30 job every Monday to Friday.
