The Playstation 5 release is happening in just a few days from now. With a release date of November 12, 2020, we are just days away from next generation consoles. In a recent blog post, Sony detailed information regarding one of the much awaited launch titles of the PS5- Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
In their blog post, Sony stated that the online co-op mode for Sackboy: A Big Adventure won't be available for gamers at launch. Instead, the feature will later be added via a patch which will come "by the end of 2020".

Later in the year, a patch will bring online multiplayer capabilities to the game. Not only that, the patch will also include cross generation play between the Playstation 5 and the Playstation 4.
The reason for the delay was given as "we just need a little more time to get it right so you can enjoy it to the fullest with your friends and family."
If you do pick up the game at launch for the PS5, keep in mind that local multiplayer will be supported. You can play with up to 4 players locally or experience the story on your own.
For the uninitiated, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a much awaited PS5 launch title which has been shown off by Sony quite a few times now. The game will run at 60FPS on the PS5 and will also offer improved performance on the current generation PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles.
