New update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War out; Treyarch previews mid-season update

Video game developer Treyarch has rolled out an update for their first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The update features a new playlist and new multiplayer modes. Treyarch also announced that there will be a mid-season update for Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is currently live and it has brought two new weapons, an operator, and more to the game. Recently, Treyarch also introduced the Bulldozer Operator Bundle which contains a new operator and eight other items.

New playlists for Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War

This update has brought a new 24/7 playlist for 6v6 maps: Raid and Crossroads Strike which includes Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on both maps. Hardcore Raid + Crossroads Strike 24/7 are also available in the Quick Play menu.

New Multiplayer modes

This update features two new multiplayer modes Gunfight Blueprints and Dirty Bomb Duos. In Gunfight Blueprints, squads of 2 engage in a 2v2 gunfight with random loadouts. The loadouts feature a collection of various weapon blueprints. The Dirty Bomb Duos for Fireteam features 10 teams of 2 players who are dropped down into Alpine and Ruka to collect uranium stockpiles and detonate more dirty bombs than the competition.

Call of Duty: Warzone weapon nerfs

The overpowered DMR 14 of Call of Duty: Warzone was also nerfed in this update. DMR 14 had its headshot damage reduced and recoil increased. Type 63 assault rifle is also nerfed with reduced headshot damage and increased recoil. The headshot damage multiplier for Mac-10 is also reduced.

Mid-season update

A mid-season update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled for January 14 featuring new content in multiplayer and zombies. A new fireteam map called Sanatorium and a new 6v6 multiplayer mode called Dropkick will be added.

In Zombies the intensity will be increased to 11 in the new Cranked mode where every zombie killed resets the timer.
