New Ghost of Tsushima game in the works? Sucker Punch Studios job openings hint at sequel
Sucker Punch Studios' Ghost of Tsushima was one of the most definitive games on the PS4. Even though it came out towards the end of the console generation, it is regarded as one of the best Playstation Exclusives out there.
Now, interestingly, there are a few signs which hint towards a sequel of Ghost of Tsushima. A report by VG24/7 highlights that Sucker Punch studios introduced a few job listings, which point to something related to Ghost of Tsushima. Read on to find out more.
An upcoming sequel or an expansion of the current game?
Interestingly, both of these specifically list familiarity with traditional Japanese culture and history amongst the list of interests that would be nice to have in a candidate. Seeing as how Ghost of Tsushima was set in historical Japan, it could likely be a sequel to the game.
A point to note here is that with these two job listings, Sucker Punch has realized the weak point of the original game. While the world in itself was breathtaking and organically built, it brought no groundbreaking revolutions.
The second aspect is that of the narrative writer, which could be done to help polish the story of the game. The story of Ghost of Tsushima was certainly a weak point, with somewhat shallow characters and cloudy intentions.
What you need to take away from here is that it is quite likely that this could all be for an expansion of the original game. However, a new artist would certainly mean that they are trying to experiment with more environments, which could be what we see in Ghost of Tsushima's sequel.
