Minecraft gets Star Wars DLC featuring new items, skins, and more
While fans are waiting for the Caves and Cliffs update for Minecraft which is set to release next year, developer Mojang has rolled out a Star Wars themed DLC for the popular sandbox game. Minecraft Star Wars DLC hit the Minecraft marketplace yesterday featuring content from the original trilogy of Star Wars- A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and content from The Mandalorian as well.
The DLC pack includes skins for characters like Luke, Darth Vader, Lando, Mando and more. Players will also have an opportunity to explore popular star wars locations like Tatooine, Endor, Hoth, and also Nevarro and Sorgan from The Mandalorian.
Travel using high-tech space vehicles
Other than a variety of character skins and maps to explore, the DLC also features new Mobs, a full bespoke texture set, items reskins, a licensed soundtrack and some changes in the UI of the game. Players will be able to travel through the Star Wars environment using the X-wing Starfighters, Tie Fighters, Speeders, and Mando’s Razor Crest.
This is perhaps one of the best games where players have the immense creative freedom to craft something unique and have fun doing it. It will be exciting to see how the players go around building their own adventures with this DLC.
Also, today, November 17, Minecraft Dungeons is getting cross-platform play update for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. This will allow up to 4 players to play Minecraft Dungeons in multiplayer mode through different platforms. Minecraft is getting another DLC- The Howling Peaks DLC next month.
