Microsoft not done buying video game companies says CEO Satya Nadella
Microsoft recently made into the headlines after they announced the acquisition of ZeniMax Media which is the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, Roundhouse Studios and many more.
In the post acquisition interview, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that Microsoft will consider buying more video gaming companies in the future.
Content is King
In an interview with cnet, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that this will not be their last purchase in the gaming industry. "The idea of having content is so we can reach larger communities and that is why Microsoft will consider buying even more video game companies in the future," he said.
Recently, Microsoft made big news when they announced the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesday and id Software and many more for a whopping $7.5 billion.
It is no secret that Microsoft has spent billions of dollars in acquiring some of the most popular game development studios like: Mojang- the developers of Minecraft for $2.5 billion, Obsidian known for the space adventure The Outer Worlds and South Park: The Stick of Truth, Double Fine Prodcutions the developers of adventure game Psychonauts and inXile Entertainment which boast the Wasteland series.

These acquisitions have given Microsoft and Xbox a shining portfolio and . Xbox launches on 10 November 2020 and Microsoft has confirmed that future Bethesda games will be available on the Xbox Game Pass.
