Here's how Cyberpunk 2077 looks running on an Xbox One X and an Xbox Series X

Over the past few months, years, decades, we have been seeing snippets of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay from here and there. All of the gameplay we have seen till now has been PC gameplay, but yesterday, in a special Night City Wire Episode, CD Projekt Red gave us a first look at console gameplay.

The game itself runs like any other triple A title on a console- looking good and locked in at 30 FPS. It should be noted that the Xbox Series X version of the game isn't out yet and the console is still running the Xbox One X version of the game.

In the gameplay video, CD Projekt Red mixes the gameplay from the two consoles. Since the Xbox Series X is the more powerful console of the lot, there are some performance improvements that can be seen right off the bat.

For starters, the lighting looks a lot better on the newer console. The reflections, light effects and overall feel of the game is better on the Series X console. On the Xbox One X, the game runs pretty well and smooth. Since gameplay was uploaded to YouTube, the compression doesn't do it any favours. However, the game runs as expected on the older console.

This gameplay was most likely uploaded to showcase that the console version of the game is ready and finalized. At the end of the Night City Wire Episode, CDPR also confirmed that next generation console version of the game will be available to players for free.

As of now, CDPR gave no information regarding gameplay on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 consoles. We will most likely have to wait till the release of the game for footage of the game running on PS4 and PS5.

Cyberpunk 2077 will come out on December 10, 2020 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series Consoles, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Google Stadia.
