Here's a list of PlayStation 4 peripherals that are compatible with the PlayStation 5
Sony's next-generation console, the futuristic PlayStation 5 is just a couple of days away from its official launch (November 12). We know the price of the console and last month, Sony announced the prices for its accessories in India.
But if you don't want to buy new accessories, there are some devices from PlayStation 4 that are compatible with PlayStation 5. According to a blog post from Sony, these officially licensed peripherals will work for PS5 as well. Let's take a look.
DualShock 4 Wireless Controller
PS4's Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller is not compatible with the next-generation console. Additionally, third-party gamepad controllers which are officially licensed by PlayStation will only work with supported PS4 games. For PS5, the new DualSense Wireless Controller is priced at Rs. 5,990 with it's charging station costing Rs. 2,590.
PlayStation 4's Platinum and Gold Wireless Headsets will be compatible with the PlayStation 5. Apart from that, you can also use third party Headsets that can be connected through a USB port or an audio jack to your PlayStation 5. Although you should note that the headset companion app is not compatible with PS5. The PULSE 3D Wireless Headset for PS5 is priced at Rs. 8,590.
To get the best experience from certain games, you require a special set of peripherals, like you will be able to enjoy the Formula 1 game best if you have a racing wheel or flight sticks for Flight Simulator games. Sony says that officially licensed racing wheels, arcade sticks, and flight sticks, will work with PS5 games and supported PS4 games.
PS Move Motion Controllers and the PlayStation VR Aim Controller
Sony's PlayStation Move Motion Controller and the PlayStation VR Aim Controller will work with supported PS VR games on the next-generation console. Also, the PlayStation 4 camera will be compatible with the PlayStation 5 to allow you to play PS VR supported games.
