Halo Infinite to skip The Game Awards 2020 but fans can expect a 'high level' update soon

Halo Infinite will not be making an appearance at The Games Awards 2020 but it will be getting a huge update in the upcoming weeks, confirms Bryan Jarrard, Community Director at 343 Industries in a weekly discussion thread on Halo's subreddit.

Bryan goes on to explain that because of the time crunch, it will not be possible to roll out a demo for The Game Awards 2020 and also that the delay in Halo: Infinite has caused some unwelcome ramifications. Halo Infinite was supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S but was delayed to 2021 due to development challenges.

In the weekly discussion thread, Bryan also says that "I know it's hard to wait, but the team is going to make the most of this extra time and we want to make sure we can put our best foot forward and commit to greater transparency and dialogue on the road ahead. We'll get there and get the train going again."

Along with the development issues which made 343 delay the release of the game, they also faced criticism in the past regarding the aesthetics and some visual elements of the game. Fans did not like the way Halo Infinite looked and said that it lacked colour and looked dull.

The team at 343 Industries are taking this time to add new features in the game and working hard towards delivering an FPS game of the highest quality that is expected by the fans.
