Fortnite's Season 5 is now live with a new map, characters, and more
Fortnite's Season 4 which featured a Marvel theme, ended with a bang on December 1 after the Galactus Event. The new season for Chapter 2 was launched yesterday and it introduces us to a new map and a bunch of new hunters. Fortnite Season 5 is now live and players are required to download and install update 15.0 to access it. It will run from December 2, 2020 - March 15, 2021.
The new Season 5 map has a bunch of different areas but the most interesting of them all is the 'Zero Point' which is at the centre of the map. Other areas on the map include Coral Castle, Craggy Cliffs, Sweaty Sands, Holly Hedges, Weeping Woods, Slurpy Swamp, Misty Meadows, Lazy Lake, Catty Corner, Retail Row, Dirty Docks, Steamy Stacks, and a Colossal Coliseum which is a desert arena where players can fight each others like gladiators.

Season 5 battle pass also introduces us to new Hunters like- The Mandalorian and his companion Grogu, Mancake the fighting Flapjack, Lexa, and more. Season 5 is a bounty season where players can hire new characters and be their ally or challenge them to duels for rewards. You can pay these characters only through bars which can be earned by completing quests and bounties, eliminating other players, or finding hidden stashes around the Island. Players can spend these bars on weapons, intel, upgrades, and more. New weapons that are added to the game which includes the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun, Night Hawk, and the Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle.
Fortnite update 15.0 is now live for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android. Developer Epic Games has said that this update will be than usual, especially on PC and Nintendo Switch.
