Elder Scroll 6 setting teased by Bethesda

Elder Scrolls 6 was announced way back in 2018 but since then, fans have been speculating where the game will take place. On New Years eve, Elder Scrolls developer Bethesda Softworks sent out a tweet that possibly hints at where Elder Scrolls 6 will be played.

The tweet which read "Transcribe the past and map the future" had an image of the map of Skyrim on which 3 candles were placed. One candle is placed outside the map, one is placed on the area Skyrim, and the third one is placed on Hammerfell.

This combination of the peculiar placement of candles and the caption of this tweet has got fans speculating whether Elder Scrolls 6 will be played in Hammerfell. This is just speculation though and Bethesda has neither specified when Elder Scrolls 6 will release nor have they given any other updates related to the game.

Previous iteration of Elder Scrolls, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was first released in 2011 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360. The game was launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016 and later on Nintendo Switch in 2017. Elder Scrolls 5 became a critically acclaimed game upon release and went on to sell over 30 million copies.

Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is considered to be one of the best games of all time thanks to the open-world, narrative, combat elements, and other exciting features. The game also won several awards including the "PC Game of the Year" from IGN and GameSpot. Looking at the success of Elder Scrolls 5, one thing is sure that fans will have high expectations from Elder Scrolls 6.
