Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer on the cards as a standalone game- CD Projekt Red confirms
Gamers are anxiously waiting for CD Projekt Red's ambitious venture Cyberpunk 2077. The game has been delayed several times mainly due to the developers wanting more time to fix bugs, balance and polish thier next big game.
While Cyberpunk 2077 will be a singleplayer game, CD Projekt Red have confirmed that a multiplayer version is on the cards. It is a completely separate, standalone experience and will not be coming out till 2022.
The multiplayer version will have microtransactions
CD Projekt Red, the creators of the legendary game "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", have confirmed that their mysterious AAA title is actually Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer. The single player version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be fully released, including expansion packs, before the multiplayer will be out.
Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer will be a standalone game and will have a microtransaction system. A conference call about the earnings report was held with the shareholders where CD Projekt Red president and joint CEO Adam Kicinski said that "The goal is to design monetization in a way that makes people happy to spend money. I'm not trying to be cynical or hide something; it's about creating a feeling of value." The singleplayer version of Cyberpunk 2077 will not have any microtransaction system.
A worthwhile wait
Gamers will be hoping that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be delayed anymore from it's release date of November 2020. If the singleplayer is good, they will expect the multiplayer version to be better. They will certainly be hoping that both- the singleplayer and the multiplayer versions are worth the wait.
