CD Projekt Red releases roadmap for updates and DLCs for Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021

Video game developer CD Projekt Red has released a roadmap for upcoming updates to their latest action RPG title Cyberpunk 2077. The game was released on December 10 and it had quite a disastrous launch as several bugs and glitches were reported especially on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

A video was uploaded on the official Cyberpunk 2077 website where CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski apologized for the state in which Cyberpunk 2077 was released. He went on to explain things that went wrong. After that, he explained the path they will be taking in 2021 regarding the updates for Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 update roadmap for 2021-

Basically, CDPR will initially release two patches in 2021- Patch 1.1 and 1.2. Marcin Iwinski says that patch 1.1 will be going live within 10 days. After that, CDPR has “multiple updates and improvements” lined up for the game. These updates will include free DLCs and free next-gen console updates.

From the information given, it would be safe to assume that two major patches are coming real soon, following which multiple updates will improve performance. During mid 2021, we can expect new DLCs and by the end of the year, a free next generation console update.

CDPR has issued a statement saying, "We are committed to fixing bugs and crashes and will continue to work and improve the game via future updates to make sure you are enjoying the game regardless of the platform."

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10 and since then, CDPR has released hotfixes that address several issues. In spite of the all the challenges, the game managed to sell over 13 million copies and it also recorded a huge player count figure on day 1 on Steam.

But it seems that there still are a couple of more bugs that need to be fixed and areas that need to be improved and CDPR says they are committed to delivering a game that was promised.
