Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War gets two major updates in two days

Video game developer Treyarch has rolled out two major updates in two days for their latest first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. These back-to-back updates brought several adjustments, bug fixes to the game and also added various game modes and weapon blueprints.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was released on November 13 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Treyarch has been actively addressing issues in the game and has also been preparing the players for Season 1 which is set to launch on December 16.

Actively improving the game

In the December 8 update, Treyarch announced that as a pre-Season 1 offer, they are gifting free personalization items to all the players which includes-

Field Research Bundle

  • 1 Epic Operator Skin (Park)

  • 1 Epic SMG Weapon Blueprint

  • 1 Epic Reticle

  • 1 Epic Calling Card

  • 1 Rare Weapon Charm

Certified Bundle

  • 1 Epic Operator Skin (Garcia)

  • 1 Rare Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint

  • 1 Epic Reticle

  • 1 Epic Weapon Charm

Apart from this, various bugs and other issues in multiple areas of the game have been addressed.

The latest update is a follow-up to the December 8 update. One of the major additions that this update brings is the inclusion of Miami in the Combined Arms map list. Miami is now the fourth map along with Crossroads, Armada, and Cartel in the Combined Arms map list.

Treyarch has not fixed all the issues they have encountered but they have their team at work in making the game more stable by improving critical aspects in the still fairly-new game.
