Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets winter update featuring two new holiday events and more
Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a free update 1.6.0 which is also being called the winter update. Developer Nintendo rolled out the update earlier today, November 19, featuring two new holiday events, new reactions, new hairstyles, a storage expansion option, and more.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released on March 20 this year for Nintendo Switch. It is the fifth game in the social-simulation Animal Crossing game series and is available in singleplayer as well as multiplayer modes. Animal Crossing: New Horizons became Nintendo Switch's second best-selling title selling over 26 million copies since launch.

Let's take a look at what this winter update brings to the game.
Two new seasonal events Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving Day have been added to the game. On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, chef Franklin will visit the square and serve food. On Christmas Eve, December 24, Jingle a black-nosed reindeer will visit the island to hand out presents to everyone on the island.
You can increase the storage capacity of your home from 1600 to 2400 by requesting extension work at the information center.
Added "Omakase" feature to randomly select a destination for the dream visit of "Yumemi".
A new function to move the save data from one unit to another main unit has also been added.
New Reaction and Hairstyles
9 new reactions were added which can be learned after exchanging the "Now! Reaction Book". Players can use these to interact with the residents of the island.
Players can also exchange the "More! Hair Arrangement x 6" to get 6 new hairstyles.
Apart from these general updates, the following elements have also been added with patch 1.6.0.
Raccoon mileage exchange prize.
Seasonal raccoon shopping items.
DIY recipes for seasonal ingredients.
Collaboration item with “Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.
The update also features various bug fixes and improvements to the game.
