Aleksandar 'kassad' Trifunović may reunite with ex 100 Thieves players in new CS:GO team
Aleksandar 'kassad' Trifunović who recently left the Cloud9's CS:GO roster is reportedly set to reunite with his old team under a new banner. According to a report, Kassad will join EXTREMUM as a coach of the ex-100 Thieves squad.
In October, 100 Thieves withdrew from the competitive CS:GO scene due to consistently poor performance from the team and the departure of their star player Justin 'jks' Savage. In September, Kassad was appointed as the coach of the new Cloud9 roster by Henry "HenryG" Greer who became the General Manager of Cloud9 and together, they were tasked with building a top tier CS:GO team. After only 4 months, Kassad left Cloud9 following a 'stylistic clash' with the team's IGL, Alex "Alex" McMeekin.
Ex-100 Thieves to unite under a new banner
EXTREMUM is a privately funded Russian organization and they are already linked with the trio of ex-100 Thieves players Aaron "AZR" Ward, Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas, and Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai. Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad is also set to join the team.
If this move of Kassad joining EXTREMUM comes to fruition, the team can quickly gain ranks as he already knows and understands the dynamics and playstyle of each player. The only question that remains is who will be the fifth player to join EXTREMUM? As Justin "jks" Savage who was a star player for 100 Thieves, joined team Complexity days before the 100 Thieves withdrew from competitive CS:GO.
This is how the current line-up for EXTREMUM looks like-
Aaron "AZR" Ward
Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai
Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
