Apple may launch a gaming friendly Apple TV in 2021

Apple TV is a palm sized box that connects to your television through an HDMI cable, which enables you to access web video apps on your big TV screen.

Apple TV has been facing stiff competition from Google and Amazon for quite a while and now as it is priced a lot more than the Amazon Fire Stick 4K and the Google Chromecast 1080p.

According to numerous rumors, Apple is developing a new version of the Apple TV for 2021 that may come with an updated remote and processor and its focus maybe on gaming.

Here's everything you need to know.

Apple TV 2021 will focus on gaming

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman briefly wrote about expectations of the new Apple TV 2021: "For next year, Apple is planning an upgraded box with a stronger gaming focus, an updated remote and a new processor. Those changes will fix some of the Apple TV box’s issues, but the product will need to take another big leap—akin to its 2015 changes—to remain competitive in the long term."

In short, the new Apple TV will have an updated remote, a new processor and a focus on gaming.

Rumors also suggest that Apple may compliment the new Apple TV with a gaming controller alongside new console games on the Apple Arcade Service.

As usual take these rumors with a pinch of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed by Apple yet.
