A Valorant tournament exclusively for female players is coming this month
With many players rising in the professional Valorant scene, an all new tournament exclusively for female gamers is coming on September 12.
Nerd Street Gamers, G FUEL, T1 and Spectator Gaming have come together to offer this huge opportunity to rising female players.
A global platform to present your skill
"We want to give more women a seat at the table in this industry – both for competitors and for women seeking a career in esports," says Paige Funk, Senior Marketing Director, Nerd Street Gamers.
This collaborative move comes after Spectator Gaming launched an initiative back in 2019 to help women make a career and grow in esports.
Communications Manager at Spectator Gaming, Kelsey Rowley states, "The whole mission of FTW is to get women together across all sectors of esports to pave the way for the next generation of gamers. Since Valorant’s explosive release earlier this year, we’ve seen the new title’s competitive ecosystem flourish. As an industry, we have the unique opportunity to engage, develop, and provide opportunities for women to succeed at all levels within the Valorant community from the ground up – and this is just the beginning."
This is an excellent change for all the female players to showcase their talent on a global stage.
A battle for glory
Qualifiers begin on September 5, after which only 8 teams will be playing in the main tournament which begins on September 12 where the teams will fight for their share from the massive prize pool $10,000. Teams can register for the tournament here.
